According to the Ministry of Tourism, 160,000 tourists visited the Maldives last month, up from 140,000 in July last year, marking a 14% increase. This surge follows a dip in arrivals over the previous two months.
In the first seven months of this year, 1.1 million tourists visited the Maldives, a 9.6% increase from 1 million in the same period in 2023. The government aims for 2 million tourist arrivals by year-end, requiring 180,000 arrivals per month.
