Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has introduced a new service allowing businesses to open accounts online. This service was launched at the ‘Breaking Barriers in Business Banking’ event held at Meerumaa Hall.
In addition to online business account opening, MIB unveiled an overdraft facility arranged under Shariah-compliant structures. These services were introduced by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed, with numerous Maldivian businesses in attendance.
MIB also introduced several other services to enhance business convenience, including:
- Business Expense Card: Manage petty cash and transactions via Favara.
- Bulk Transfers: Conduct bulk transactions for businesses via Favara.
- Salary Deposits: Deposit salaries at any bank using the salary code.
- Transaction Scheduling: Schedule transactions efficiently.
MIB has made business banking entirely digital, ensuring security across all offered services. The bank’s goal is to provide accessible banking solutions for businesses throughout the Maldives via online platforms.
To further engage with the business community, MIB held an open day this week, attracting over 300 participants.
