Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives, has announced an increase in flight frequency on its popular Maldives-Trivandrum route. This strategic move addresses the growing passenger demand, highlighting the enduring appeal of the Maldives, a four-time winner of the World’s Leading Destination award.
Currently, Maldivian operates four flights a week from Malé to Trivandrum on Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Starting July 22, the airline will add a fifth weekly flight to this route, operating every Monday. This additional service aims to provide more travel options and convenience for passengers.
The new flight, Q2-700, is scheduled to depart Malé at 18:40hrs and arrive in Trivandrum (TRV) at 21:20hrs local time. The return flight, Q2-701, will leave Trivandrum at 22:20hrs and land in Malé at 00:01+1hrs the following day. Both flights will be operated using the reliable and comfortable Dash-8 aircraft, ensuring a pleasant travel experience for passengers.
The expanded flight schedule offers travelers greater flexibility and choice, making it easier to plan trips between the Maldives and Trivandrum. This increase in flight frequency underscores Maldivian’s commitment to meeting passenger needs and supporting the growing travel demand in the region.
In addition to enhancing convenience for travelers, the new service is expected to boost tourism and strengthen the economic ties between the Maldives and Trivandrum. The increased connectivity will facilitate smoother travel for business and leisure travelers alike, promoting cultural and economic exchange between the two destinations.
Maldivian’s decision to expand its flight services reflects its dedication to providing high-quality service and adapting to the evolving needs of its passengers. The airline continues to play a crucial role in supporting the Maldives’ tourism industry and maintaining its status as a leading global travel destination.
