Male’, Maldives – The Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Shiyam, inaugurated the 5th Maldives Marine Science Symposium yesterday, an event organized by the Maldives Marine Research Institute. The symposium, a significant gathering for marine scientists and researchers, features a diverse array of research papers. Topics include coral and reef ecology, fisheries and aquaculture, sharks and rays, marine megafauna, mangroves, seagrasses, and other critical marine subjects.
