On July 24, operations commenced at the Th. Kinbidhoo Waste Management Center, marking a significant milestone in President Dr. Muizzu’s government’s pledge to provide modern waste management facilities to all inhabited islands in the Maldives.
The inauguration ceremony was led by the Minister of Climate Change, Environment, and Energy, Thoriq Ibrahim, who highlighted the government’s dedication to environmental sustainability and effective waste management practices.
This new facility is part of a broader initiative to enhance waste management infrastructure across the Maldives, ensuring cleaner and healthier communities for all residents.
